Selon l’ambassadeur du Cameroun au Gabon, Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, Paul Biya devancerait ses concurrents avec 70% de suffrages. Il est suivi d’Adamou Ndam Njdoya de l'Udc qui, en l’état actuel des dépouillements, aurait 10% devant  Ni John Fru Ndi du Sdf.
